Social Commerce Operations Hub

Overview

The Social Commerce Operations Hub puts TikTok comments on posts and ads, __TikTok Shop__ orders, Instagram, __WhatsApp__ and UK marketplace messages into **one inbox**, for brands selling on three or more platforms. Each reply goes back to the platform it came from, and a __cost view__ nets off platform fees and creator commission to show which platform **makes money**. 58% of brands are below breakeven on social commerce spend (NielsenIQ, 2026). LNOKS shipped the same design for InstantResponse: Yelp, Google and Thumbtack leads in one inbox with __instant alerts__. The limit: each platform must approve access, and TikTok DMs cannot be connected for businesses registered in the UK, US, EEA or Switzerland (October 2026).

Industry Proof

What we have shipped , and what the research says

  • Same design shipped for InstantResponse

LNOKS built InstantResponse to pull leads from Yelp, Google LSA and Thumbtack into one inbox, with instant alerts, replies from one place and ROI by source. All three sources were live from day one. The hub is the same design pointed at shopping platforms.

  • 58% of brands below breakeven on social

NielsenIQ (2026) puts the average return on social commerce spend at $1.35 per dollar, and influencer spend at $0.68. The hub shows which side of that line each of your platforms sits on, because it nets off fees and creator commission per platform.

  • TikTok Shop is the only UK social checkout

Meta moved Shops to website checkout in 2025, and the YouTube Shopping affiliate programme is not available in the UK. A UK brand sells on TikTok Shop, marketplaces and its own store, while its customers also ask questions on Instagram, WhatsApp and in the comments.

The Transformation

Monday morning, before and after

Workflow

Where a customer's question lands

Before

A question under a TikTok video, an Instagram DM, an Amazon message and an email land in four places. Someone checks each tab when they can, and nobody can say who answered what.

After

All four land in one queue with the platform, the customer and any linked order beside them. One person owns each, a timer runs against your reply window, and the reply goes back to the platform it came from.

Workflow

A question under a running ad

Before

Sunday, 9pm. A shopper asks under your TikTok ad whether it ships to Ireland. The spend is still running, and the comments are not checked until Monday.

After

The comment triggers an alert routed by your rules. Whoever is on cover sees it, replies from the hub, and the answer posts under the ad.

Workflow

Which platform pays

Before

Revenue per platform sits in separate dashboards. Contribution per platform, after fees, creator commission and refunds, is in none of them.

After

The hub shows contribution by platform each period, with any missing cost marked as unknown. You can say which platform contributed most last month after costs.

Why Not

What you would do instead, and where it stops working

  • The alternative

Hire another person and keep the tabs open

It works at two platforms and it can start tomorrow. Each new platform adds another tab to check, there is no shared record of who answered what, and response time is whatever the rota allows.

    With LNOKS

One queue with owners and reply timers

The same team covers more platforms from one screen. Median response time per platform is measured in Discovery, so you see any change against your own baseline.

  • The alternative

    Your current helpdesk

It handles email, site chat and Meta messages well, and several helpdesks now connect TikTok Shop buyer chats. The gap is usually TikTok comments and the comments under your ads.

    With LNOKS

A hub that sits beside your helpdesk

We connect the channels your helpdesk does not reach and leave the rest where it works. Discovery starts by listing which of your channels are uncovered.

  • The alternative

    A social media inbox tool

It already handles comments and DMs across Instagram, Facebook and TikTok, often including comments on ads, and it is quick to switch on. It usually stops at social: marketplace messages, orders and profit per platform live somewhere else.

    With LNOKS

One hub for comments, orders and money

Comments, marketplace messages and orders sit in one queue, next to contribution per platform after fees and commission, on platform accounts you own.

  • The alternative

Your agency's inbox or reporting tool

It is already running and needs no build. It sits on the agency's developer account, so it stops working the day you leave them.

    With LNOKS

A hub on your own platform accounts

Every platform app and token is registered in your name at proposal stage. We learned this on InstantResponse, which runs on the client's own key and would stop if that account did.

  • The alternative

    A SaaS inbox tool

Cheaper and faster to switch on. At two platforms it is usually the right answer, and we will say so on the first call.

    With LNOKS

A hub built for three or more platforms

Worth building when you sell on three or more platforms, need contribution per platform after fees and commission, and want connections you own.

What You Get

What you get

  • One inbox for comments, messages and TikTok Shop chats

Comments and messages from each connected platform land in one queue, with the platform, the customer and any linked order beside them. On TikTok that means comments on your posts and ads, and TikTok Shop buyer chats where TikTok approves access. TikTok DMs are excluded for businesses registered in the UK, US, EEA or Switzerland.

  • Instant alerts, routed by your rules

An alert the moment a question lands, routed by platform, keyword or order value, so the person who covers that platform sees it first, without opening another tab.

  • Reply from one place, with templates and owners

Your team replies from the hub and the reply appears on the platform it came from. Templates cover order status, shipping and returns. Each conversation has one owner and a timer against your agreed reply window, with escalation when it runs over.

  • One order view across platforms

Orders from TikTok Shop, your marketplaces and your own store in one list with fulfilment status, filterable by platform, status and date.

  • Profit by platform, after fees and commission

What each platform contributed each period after platform fees, creator commission and refunds. A cost you cannot supply shows as unknown, not zero, so you can see which costs are still missing.

  • Role-based views and a per-platform scorecard

Separate views for support, operations and managers, so financials reach only the people who should see them. A side-by-side view compares volume, response time and contribution for each platform.

  • Baseline and platform access plan

Before anything is built: median response time per platform, questions still unanswered after 24 hours, orders handled per person per day, and a list of what each platform lets us connect for you, in your region, registered in your name.

  • Maintenance retainer

Platforms change their APIs often. The retainer keeps each connection working, applies platform updates before their deadlines, renews access when a platform asks, adds new platforms as scoped changes, and includes a quarterly review call.

The Process

How we approach it

  1. 01 Qualifying call
  2. 02 Discovery
  3. 03 Baseline
  4. 04 Proposal
  1. 01

    Qualifying call

A 20-minute call: how many platforms you sell or take questions on, who answers them and how fast, and roughly what a slow reply costs you. At two platforms we point you to a SaaS inbox tool instead.

  2. 02

    Discovery

Planned at 1–2 weeks. We map what arrives on each platform and how much of it per week, from your exports rather than estimates, and watch how your team handles it today.

  3. 03

    Baseline

We measure median response time per platform, questions still unanswered after 24 hours, and orders handled per person per day. This is the 'before' the build is judged against.

  4. 04

    Proposal

A fixed-price proposal that names every platform in scope, the order they are connected in, the TikTok regional limit in writing, and the maintenance retainer.

Is This For You

Who this is for

£3–30M brands selling through TikTok Shop, a marketplace such as Amazon UK or eBay UK, and their own store, with questions also arriving on Instagram and WhatsApp. Someone in the business already knows replies are slow.

The e-commerce lead holds the budget and the channel numbers. The customer service or customer operations lead owns reply times and can produce the counts. The hub gives each of them their own view.

Paid and Spark Ads pull questions into the comments. Scale the spend and the comment count rises with it, while the team answering stays the same size. Ad comments can be read and answered for UK businesses, so a question under a running ad reaches a person.

Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently asked questions

For a UK brand the hub connects Instagram comments and DMs, Messenger, WhatsApp, site chat, email and marketplace message centres such as Amazon UK and eBay UK, where the marketplace allows it. On TikTok it connects comments on your posts and your ads, TikTok Shop orders, catalogue and returns, and TikTok Shop buyer chats where TikTok approves access. Every platform in scope is named in the proposal.

No. As of October 2026, TikTok Business Messaging, the API for direct messages to a TikTok account, is not available to businesses registered in the UK, the US, the European Economic Area or Switzerland. It is available in other regions. For a UK brand those DMs stay with your team inside TikTok. Comments on your posts and ads, and TikTok Shop buyer chats where TikTok approves access, can come into the hub.

Yes, where TikTok approves it. TikTok Shop buyer chats come through a separate Customer Service API that TikTok approves case by case, and several helpdesks already hold that access for UK sellers. In Discovery we check whether your shop can get it for your own hub. If it cannot, we tell you before the build, and those chats stay in Seller Center or in a helpdesk that already has access.

That platform is left out and the scope is reset around the platforms that did approve. Some platforms make you apply for access first, approval depends on your account, and the time it takes is outside our control. That is why the build date is set only after the first approval lands, and why the hub is built so that losing one platform never takes the others down.

The build is planned at 3–4 months, after a Discovery planned at 1–2 weeks. Platforms are connected one at a time, highest volume first, at 3–5 weeks each with overlap, so your team uses the first before the last is finished. Waiting for platform approval can add time we do not control. After launch, a maintenance retainer, quoted in the first proposal, keeps each connection working as platforms change.

Not always. Helpdesks handle email, chat and Meta messages well, and social inbox tools handle comments. The hub is worth building when you sell on three or more platforms and need comments, marketplace messages, orders and profit per platform in one place, on accounts you own. At two platforms, or if your current tool already covers your channels, keep the tool. We tell you that on the first call, before you pay for anything.

The hub works out contribution per platform: revenue after platform fees, creator commission and refunds, for each period. Order data comes from the connected platforms, and fee and commission data comes from you, confirmed in Discovery. Where a cost is missing, it shows as unknown, not zero. When it is finished, you can say from the hub which platform contributed most last month after costs.

No. We build the place where messages are answered, and your team sends the replies. The hub gives them one queue, instant alerts, templates, one owner per conversation and a timer against your agreed reply window. Fast replies still depend on your team sending them, so we measure it: median response time per platform and questions unanswered after 24 hours, before the build and again after launch.

Yes, for free. We run a Response Gap Check on your public TikTok and Instagram posts: the customer questions in the comments, how many got a reply, and the longest wait. It takes us about ten minutes and needs nothing from you. You get the list whether or not you go ahead. If there is a gap worth closing, the next step is a paid Discovery.

You do. Every platform app and access token is registered in your business's name and agreed at proposal stage, never under our account or your agency's. We learned this on InstantResponse, which runs on the client's own key and would stop if that account closed. If you change agency or supplier, the hub keeps running.
