Video & live streaming

Your own video app: live shows viewers buy from and recorded series they pay for

Built for iOS, Android and the web, including recorded video with subtitles in several languages.

Video & live streaming

Video and live streaming apps let a brand or media business show video in its own app on iOS, Android and the web, and get paid for it. LNOKS builds two kinds: live streams, where a host presents while viewers chat and buy, and recorded video, where each upload is encoded for any connection speed, subtitled and shown once a viewer pays. For Miraya, a German fashion manufacturer, we built a live shopping app on MUX live video, with orders sent to the brand's Shopify store. For TeleShort, a US media startup, we built a vertical series app on Cloudflare Stream, where viewers pay for episodes with coins. A project starts with a call, then a scoped first release.

Sound familiar?

What gets in the way.

  1. 01

Going live on Instagram or TikTok keeps your viewers on someone else's platform, with no paywall of your own.

  2. 02

The host shows a product, the product card lags behind the video, and the moment to buy passes.

  3. 03

A filmmaker has vertical series ready to release and no app where viewers pay for the next episode.

  4. 04

Paid episodes get screen-recorded and passed around, so nobody needs to pay for the next one.

  5. 05

Viewers speak several languages, and every recorded video needs subtitles they can read.

What we build

What we build.

  1. 01

Live streaming and live shopping apps

A host goes live, viewers watch and chat on their phone or in the browser, and products appear on screen while the host presents them.

    Short-form and episodic video apps

Series and episodes uploaded in bulk, encoded so quality follows the viewer’s connection, filed by category and watched in vertical format.

  3. 03

    Video recording, processing and subtitles

People record in the browser, the server joins the clips into one video, and subtitles and translations are generated before it is published.

How a project starts

Start with a conversation about the problem.

We first want to understand what is happening today. What follows depends on how clear the work already is.

  1. A conversation about the problem

We start by understanding what you sell or teach today, who it is for and what a first release needs to do.

  2. An assessment, if the scope is uncertain

When several systems, unclear data or an undocumented process are involved, a short assessment maps the process, the risks and the options first.

  3. A focused first release

When the workflow and systems are already clear, we agree a first result with acceptance criteria and start building it.

  4. Ongoing support

After launch, we agree who fixes what, in which hours and how fast we respond.

Automation

Where automation helps.

Automation does the slow work after recording. For LivingAccount, AI turns each recorded answer into subtitles and translates them into English, Spanish, French and German, and the server joins the clips into one video. Integration keeps video tied to sales: Miraya's live shows take products from Shopify, send orders back to it, and record each buyer in the CRM.

Frequently asked questions

A video and live streaming app is your own product where people watch video, live or recorded, on iOS, Android or the web, and pay, buy or sign up inside it. LNOKS builds the apps, the upload and playback pipeline, payments and admin tools. We do not produce the video or supply an audience; those stay with you.

We have built both, and they work differently. Miraya Live streams in real time on MUX: a brand goes live, viewers chat, and product cards appear while the host presents. TeleShort is recorded: episodes are uploaded to Cloudflare Stream, encoded so quality follows the connection, and watched on demand in vertical format. Live fits moments that matter, such as a launch or a sale; recorded video suits content people watch at any time.

Use an existing platform if you want to reach new viewers quickly, sell to the public with one price list, or test an idea. TikTok, Instagram Live or a ready-made video hosting tool costs less and starts faster. A custom app makes sense when you need your own paywall, roles, catalogue or customer records. We tell you which applies on the first call.

No. A video app gives the viewers you can already reach a better place to watch, pay and come back, and it records who they are. It does not create an audience the way TikTok, Instagram or paid ads can. Plan how viewers will hear about your first shows or series before the build starts; we cover this on the first call.

Miraya Live, a live shopping app for iOS, Android and the web, reached its first release in 4 months. Your timeline depends on whether you need live or recorded video, how many platforms, and which payments and integrations come first. After a first call we scope a first release and quote it, so you know the timeline before the build starts.

The first step is a call. We talk through what people will watch, whether it is live or recorded, how they will pay and which systems already hold your products and customers. The build is quoted after scoping. Streaming providers such as MUX or Cloudflare Stream also bill by usage, so we estimate those running costs with you.

Yes, where those systems offer an API. For Miraya, a German fashion manufacturer, products come from the brand's Shopify store, orders go back to Shopify for fulfilment, and each buyer is recorded in Miraya's CRM. Payments run as in-app purchases on iOS and Android and Stripe on the web. In TeleShort, viewers top up coins in the app or by card.

Yes, either from your own subtitle files or generated automatically. TeleShort attaches a subtitle file per language to each episode. For LivingAccount, AI writes subtitles for each recorded answer and translates them into English, Spanish, French and German. Machine subtitles can contain mistakes, so we agree with you whether someone checks them before a video is published.

The code becomes yours on delivery, as the contract states. Your videos sit in a streaming account and your viewer and order data in your own systems, not in ours. The streaming, payment and app store accounts are registered to your business from the start, so the app keeps running if you change developers.

We agree the support and next features with you. Video apps need ongoing care: iOS, Android, app store rules and streaming providers change, and payments must keep working through those changes. Support covers fixes, updates and new features. With Miraya the work continued after the live shopping app: LNOKS now develops and maintains Miraya's own CRM.
